It's time to Fall Back!

Created in 2012 while Sasha was consulting for the John Dory Oyster bar's autumn menu, the "Fall Back" is another exciting riff on the Manhattan. Combining both Rye and Applejack (or Apple Brandy) with sweet vermouth, Amaro Nonino, and Peychaud's Bitters brings out loads of spice notes and autumn flavors.

The Fall Back Cocktail

2 Dashes Peychaud's Bitters

.5 oz Amaro Nonino

.5 oz Carpano Antica (or sweet vermouth of choice)

1 oz Applejack (Or Apple Brandy)

1 oz Rye Whiskey

Build the drink in a rocks glass in the top down order listed above. Add 1 large ice cube and stir to dilute and chill. Garnish with orange expression/peel.
